My practice is devoted completely to Couples, Sex and Relational Therapy. All Couples experience difficulties during a marriage or during long term relationships. Helping Couples work to resolve these conflicts, develop trust and reconnect is the most satisfying work that I do. I do this by applying relationship tools, problem solving, conflict management and role modeling communication skills so that every partner feels that they are important and a priority in the relationship. It is important to make each partner feel cared for, by learning to be responsive and engaged, without triggering the other individual.
Couples Therapy may be needed during transitional periods, such as marriage, divorce, a new birth, death, illness, loss of job, relocation, or infidelity, which produces additional stress, when extra support can make the difference between feeling hopeless and gaining solutions and options.
Sexual intimacy is so important for a healthy couple relationship. In a safe environment we work on common sexual concerns such as erectile dysfunctions, disparity in sexual desire, pornography, hyper sexuality, fetishes and medical health issues that affect sexuality and intimacy.
First, I will create a safe space for both members of the Couple. Over the course of our sessions, I will track your emotions, explore the triggers behind them, and assign tools based on the patterns we uncover. To improve communication, I will teach you both to frame and clarify the way you respond to each other. I will be there to support you for every step of your journey.
My practice consultation for couples is structured in 4 sessions. The first one is a Couple Session, the second two are confidential Individual sessions, and the third is a Couple session to discuss treatment options and feedback.
If I am working with Individuals for relationship issues, sexual intimacy or sexual dysfunction, I create a safe space to explore your sexual history and relationship history.
Together we work to gain insight into old disruptive patterns and new options to achieve the close relationship you desire.
With my 20 plus years of experience you can feel confident that I will give you the tools to help both of you navigate through what ever issues you are faced with. Please call me to set up a free phone consultation.
